The Research On Emotional Words

There are some words in modern Chinese, such as sad,unsatisfactory,surprise,awkward and so on. These words describe people’s emotion.Chunli,Zhao(2007)entitle them as emotional words. The thesis says,emotional words have special syntax function. The thesis will prove this. This thesis mainly includes three parts :introduction,main part and conclusion.The first chapter explains the topic and purpose of this thesis, the current situation of domestic and international research and the scope and method of the research,etc.The second chapter build up a distinguishing frame. And make the words in adjective dictionary and modern Chinese information dictionary examine through the frame.The third chapter explain the phenomenon that emotional words have the dynamic tendency of “emotional word+tense article”and “emotional word +verb tend”using the theory of structural linguistic,functional linguistic,etc.The fourth chapter explain why the emotional word in adverbial make the whole sentence have three meaning: cause and effect; effect and cause; paralled. And this chapter also explain two phenomenon:when emotional word in adverbial and the whole sentence has the meaning that is cause and effect then word 地 can be changed as 得. And emotional word in adverbial can be showed with different types of events.The fifth chapter explain the reason and mechanism of “yi+classifier+emotionalword”.In the fifth chapter we make the conclusion and list the rest questions need to be solved. We also list some suggestions that may help to solve these questions.
