The Research Of The Semantics And Discourse Function Of “Shangqie”

"Shangqie"(“尚且”)is a more common word to see and to use in modern Chinese written language,but from the textual and pragmatic level,the current academic circles have not had the systematic and in-depth research for the word yet.This paper mainly uses the theories and methods of text linguistics,to research"Shangqie"(“尚且”)and some sentences which contain"Shangqie"(“尚且”)from the multiple perspectives.Based on the real corpus and through the description and comparison,this paper carries out the specific inspection in semantic features,and textual and pragmatic aspects of performance and discourse and"Shangqie"(“尚且”),which can be used in the actual characteristics of a detailed in-depth research.The whole paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part. It mainly introduces the reasons and meaning of the selected topic, the scope of this research, previous and general situation of the research for such problems and issues. It also introduces the methods,theories and sources of corpus.The second chapter to the fourth chapter are the body parts of this paper. This paper launches the research from the following several aspects.The second chapter analyzes the semantic characteristics of"Shangqie"(“尚且”).By means of"Shangqie"(“尚且”)and some sentences which contain"Shangqie"(“尚且”)on the analysis of the semantic level,examine its nature of thebasic grammatical meaning,characteristics and formation,and summarize its semantic structure modes.The third chapter,on the basis of the theories of discourse linguistics,probes the position of"Shangqie"(“尚且”),the cohesion and connection of"Shangqie"(“尚且”),analyzes the former term,the latter term and the basic logic relations between them,and sums up the context and restricting factors of"Shangqie"(“尚且”)in all kinds of sentences.The fourth chapter,on the basis of the syntax and semantics,focuses on several pragmatic functions of"Shangqie"(“尚且”)in discourse from the pragmatic perspective.This chapter and the third chapter are keys of this paper.The fifth chapter is the epilogue. This chapter summarizes the research of this paper and analyses the weakness of this study.
