Look The Advantages And Disadvantages From The Arrangement Of Vocabulary In Writing Intermediate Chinese Textbooks

This paper took BRIDGE – A Practical Intermediate Chinese Course, an intermediate Chinese textbook as the research material. It analyzed the arrangement of words in BRIDGE from several points through the number and level statistics of the words in texts and glossaries, so we can know about the advantages and disadvantages of this textbook in the arrangement of words, then we can make some suggestions of the arrangement of words in writing Chinese textbooks.This paper consists of five chapters:The introduction part mainly introduced the significance of the topic of this paper, the research object of this paper, the research theory and methods and the research status in China.The first chapter is data process. Data process including word segmentation, the proofreading of word segmentation’s result, level measurement and the proofreading of the result of level measurement.The second chapter is the process of the number and level statistics of words in the texts and the glossaries of BRIDGE, and we analyzed the arrangement of words in BRIDGE from several points on the basis of the statistical data obtained.The third chapter made some suggestions of the arrangement of words in writing Chinese textbooks on the basis of the analyzing results obtained from the second chapter.The last part is conclusion. This part is mainly the summary of the full text, and it pointed out the shortages of this paper.
