Future time perspective(FTP) is a kind of personality traits with the dynamic characteristics, has important guiding effect to individual adaptive behaviors. Studies have investigated the influence mechanism of FTP to achievement goal orientation and study engagement,and achieved good results. But rarely research combined the three variables. In line with this approach, this study investigated the Sichuan Normal University, the Southwest Petroleum University,the Chongqing Normal University, the Chongqing Energy College and the Henan University students, Integrated research this three variables, and explore the influence path among them. The research based on the existing literature, collected data through survey reaserch method.And the data was arranged and analyzed by SPSS statistical software and AMOS structural equation model software.The research used to verify the reliability and validity of the psychological scales. The results revealed the status quo of college students in the FTP, achievement goal orientation and study engagement.on the basis of predecessors’ study,we briefly analyzes the college students’ psychological variables in different characteristics and differences of demographic variables.Then,the research foucsed on exploring on the relationship between FTP,achievement goals and study engagement of college students, and had established the structural equation model of three variables, finally concluded that the specific influence mechanism of college students’ study engagement.This study aims to understand the current situation and effect mechanism, further find a dynamic function of FTP and achievement goal orientation.Research results is important to stimulate students’ learning motivation, adjust their learning goals and learning state.Finally, this study get the following conclusion:(1) The General Future Time Perspective Questionnaire,Student Achievement Goal Orientation Scale-four subscales,and Study Engagement Scale have good reliability and validity,are suitable for college students.(2) As a whole,college students had a higher level of the FTP.In particular, they were confident about the future, and understood that there would be a lot of tasks to complete in the future, but they were relatively insufficient in several aspects: Far Goal Orienation,Future Images and Behavioral Commitment. The current situation of achievement goal orientation showed that college students often choosed to Master Approach Goal and Master Avoidance Goal, sometimes choosed Performance Approaching Target, less used Performance Avoidance Goal.College students’ Study Engagement situation in the medium level, they often thought that learning is valuable, but seldom puted into practical action.Their study lives lack of a positive and full of drive.(3) Different college students’ qualifications and family residence had remarkable effect to the FTP and achievement goal orientation. There existed significant differences to university students overall achievement goal orientation and study engagement; There existed remarkable grades effect to the FTP,achievement goal orientation and study engagement.(4) There existed different degree of significant correlation between College students’ FTP, achievement goal orientation and study input. Regression analysis showed that university students FTP has significant positive prediction function of study engagement.effectfor the achievement goal orientation.Achievement goal orientation have significant predictive effect on the study engagement. The FTP have a significant role in achievement goal orientation.And,learning and future time perspective for have a positive role in learning. College student FTP and achievement goal orientation can be combined to positively predict study engagement.(5) the college students’ master approch goals and performance approach goals was part of the intermediary of FTP and study engagement.(6) mastery approach goal is behaviral commitment and far goals orientation on study engagement fully mediation.
