An Interpreting Practice Report On Post-modern Car Public Class In Stanford University

In this report, the author interprets the video on the Internet by simultaneous interpretation, which is in limited time and guaranteed the quality of interpretation. The report that is based on the solutions and methods of some difficulties before preparing materials or during interpreting consists three main parts: Forewords, Main body, and Summary.Forewords is the preparation work. In this chapter, the author introduces the background knowledge and translation object. This chapter is made up of two parts. In the first part, the author gives a detailed introduction on translation object combined with the author’s knowledge. In the second part, the author offers some preliminary solutions through the understanding of translation object and difficulties may meet.Car is the most important and indispensable traffic tool in current society. And with the rapid speed development of Europe car industry, which prompts translation object--Post-modern Car Public Class in Stanford University. In the main body of this report, the author chooses public class as scenarios simulation through network interpreting in real time. During interpreting, the author adopts two kinds of solutions: one is the increase or decrease in the source language. It is better for audience to understand deeper about the content of the speaker said by properly increasing and explaining some hard-understanding professional words and phrases. And for those secondary information, it is better simplify structure in limited time as far as possible and easy to express. Among them pronouns, prepositions, and the repeatability of the rhetoric can be omitted. Secondly, the change of part-of-speech. Including the verbs, nouns, and word segmentation of transformation.In the summary, The author based on engineering background, with easy to understand for the principle, combined with a large number of professional term, explaining the development direction of post-modern car to the readers. By using the above two kinds of solution principles, bold and accurate for the simultaneous translation work. Combining with the above, the author offer personal opinion of post-modern car industry and the requirement of the interpreter in this field.
