China has five thousand years of history, it creats a splendid ancient culture. Traditional handicrafts are the gem of our country, they need to be protected and inherited. With the development of era, the modern concept, modern aesthetics and modern way of life influenced on the traditional context. Excellent traditional culture is at stake. But at the same time, we are optimistic to see that the modern civilization brought the development of the traditional technology of new materials and new technology. Chances always go with challenges, traditional handicrafts need to seize the opportunity to get out of it.Huishan clay figurines is facing the development bottleneck. It is worth researching how to find the starting point of contradiction in the middle of twenty-first Century.There are a lot of way to combine traditional with the modern culture. Traditional handicrafts have a long history of the craft,so it is not real to change its aesthetic form or process. After investigation, we decided to choose extension to be a breakthrough. If there were more people willing to join the family of traditional handicrafts, Huishan clay figurines may have a larger development space.In the era of experience economy, the designers began to pay attention to the experience, a kind of intangible value. experience is the core of Interactive virtual exhibition. Interactive virtual exhibition pay attention to people themselves, ang it grasp the user’s needs. It is committed to build a good atmosphere of experience for the user. It combines with the virtual reality and augmented reality technology, and has many featuresike. To apply interactive virtual display into the promotion of Huishan clay figurines, it can attract more people to focus on the traditional culture, and cultivate their interest in the traditional arts and crafts. Exhibition is the product’s facade, a fresh and interesting exhibition can attract the audiences.This article is targeted for children, youth and older. After useing observation method and interview method to analyse these three groups, we discovered the target population’s confusion and demand under the existing conditions.Based on the early stage of the in-depth study of interactive virtual exhibition, we should plan different exhibition design strategies for every group of people. In addition, due to the different content, design strategy should be adjusted, so we put forward the design strategy based on appearance of exhibition and design strategy based on cultural show.Finally, we designed a interactive virtual product exhibition system of Huishan clay figurines for the young people. It can help designers to apply policy to practice.
