On the "visual texture"(visual texture) term, the French visual esthetician Duluth TheoMeyer was in the "visual aesthetic," a book like this description: "visual texture Maybe what we have seen in the texture, This visual texture to attract our hands to touch, or at least with physical. " This article is to seize the visual texture characteristics in the field of physics and mind work together as a starting point, its packaging design in the construction of the method are discussed.Based on emotional design and theory of cognitive psychology, this thesis aims at building connection between visual textual design and consumption emotion, which would be the moment of breakthrough in package design. Deprived from the analysis of the origin and development facts of the concept of “visual texture”, the researcher proposed that there are two angles to investigate this concept: the physical characteristic and inherent cause, from which a methodology has been deprived to adapt this concept to package design, as well as the principle of construction. Furthermore, the development tendency and expending value have been concluded through the research on associated examples.The article was be divided into five chapters: In the first part the subject sources and research status were reviewed through combing research framework and research methods;secondly the concept of visual texture is discussed companied with the three main qualities of,“happen facts”. Furthermore the author made an intensive research into how to build diverse layers in package design physically, contextually and aesthetically. Then the author built the principles and methodology of the adaption of visual textual in package design on four aspects including the physical defamiliarization, physiological adaptability, aesthetical association and cognitive pareidolia. Finally the author developed the extended value of package and the associated social concern from the angle of design.In the research into the interior texture and exterior form of visual textual, the author deprived the design rules from the superficial phenomenon of package design as well as the key visual factors effected by "physical field " and "psychical field". Developed the new angle and concepts of the theory of package design for the research in the further.
