The Status Analysis Of Artwork Financialization And Construction Of Artwork Value Evaluation System In China

Artwork has both cultural attribute and economic attribute.Its dual-attributes determines it can be a good investment. With the development of Chinese art market, a high rate of return attracts widespread concern and a large number of financial capital. In this context, a bud of artwork financialization has been produced in China and develops constantly. Artwork financialization not only conforms to the trend of the Chinese art market development, but also meets the growing demand for investment of Chinese people.Huge market demand and continuing permeation of financial capital put forward a higher requirement of the process of artwork financialization. However, artwork financialization in China is vulnerable. Considering this, the paper is going to analyze the status quo of artwork financialization in China, and hopes to provide useful reference for Chinese artwork financialization development.Based on a review of relevant literatures, this paper elaborates the research status of artwork financialization both in domestic and foreign. Commencing from defining the basic concepts involved in the process of artwork financialization, the paper sets forth the related theory of artwork financialization. Analyzing from the perspective of the necessity and feasibility, this paper concludes that the artwork financialization is not only necessary, but also feasible. By combing and comparing the development of Chinese and foreign artwork financialization, the author finds that although there are similarities, differences do exist between the two in the way of financialization and operation mode of financial products. In practice, there are problems in Chinese artwork financialization, such as traditional concept constraint, lack of talents, lack of honesty, lack of value evaluation system, lack of laws and regulations and so on. To solve these problems, the author puts forward some suggestions. The author focuses on the study of artwork value evaluation system in this paper. A value evaluation system is constructed by using the analytic hierarchy process, and the method of issuance of questionnaire is used to determine the weight of each index in the value evaluation system, and it passes an empirical test. We hope this paper has practical guiding significance to help Chinese artwork financialization to develop healthily.
