The Influence of Monetary and Fiscal Policy on Aggregate Demand is one chapter in Principles of Economics written by N. Gregory Mankiw. Based on Vermeer’s Skopostheory and the characteristics of economic texts,this paper conducts a study on E-C translation and we we have given first priority to readers in the process of translation.This paper consists of four chapters. Chapter 1 gives a brief introduction to The Influence of Monetary and Fiscal Policy on Aggregate Demand and Vermeer’s Skopostheory.Chapter 2 describes the difficulties the author met and solutions the author have adopted the translation process which includes the difficulties the author met and the solutions the author adopted.Chapter 3 analyzes basic strategies in translating the basic strategies of translation of economic texts in terms of words, sentences and discourses, etc. In addition,this paper combines with case studies so as to discuss relevant issues and corresponding strategies. Chapter 4 draws a conclusion, hoping for spurring those who translate related articles.
