Folk Beliefs And Anxiety Of Explicit And Implicit Relationship Study

The purpose of this study was to explore the Folk Belief Tendency, and understand the relationship between folk belief tendency and trait anxiety and perceived childhood control. We designed three researchs to achieve that goals: Based on a large number of literature review at home and aborad,combined with an open-ended questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews, using item analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, proposed the structure model of folk belief according to the Psychological perspective,developed the scale of folk belief tendency in the first study. Study two using Folk Belief Tendency Scale, Trait Anxiety Scale and Perceived Childhood Control Scale to explore the relations between folk belief, trait anxiety, and perceived childhood control.Study three using the Implict Association Test to explored the tendency of folk belief, and to understand the relationship between the explicit tendency of folk belief and folk belief and trait anxiety. The main results of this study were as follow:(1)The Sale of Folk Belief Tendency were divided into three factors: Folk Belief Concept, Folk Belief Behavior and Folk Belief Motivation. The final questionnaire contains 17 items, the internal consistency coefficient of the scale was 0.94. The correlation of Folk Belief Tendency Scale and Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire(SCSORF) is 0.708, has good reliability and validity.(2)There was significantly negative correlation between self-perceived childhood control and trait anxiety and between self-perceived childhood control and folk belief tendency. Significantly positive correlation between trait anxiety and folk belief tendency. Self-perceived childhood control partially plays the role of intermediation between trait anxiety and folk belief tendency.(3)Folk Belief Implicit Tendency tended to be positive, the implicit effect of Folk Belief is significant and the implicit structure of Folk Belief differed from the explicit one, the tait anxiety have a certain predictive power to the folk belief implicit tendency.
