It is broadcast in English, mainly made up of news and feature program s as s upplement. This program concentrates on domestic affairs and important events fully and objectively. As for programming, it puts more emphasis on the details and depth of the contents, and tries to m ake it more attractive by using various news for ms and well-organized language. Besides, the authoritative and in-depth analysis of the interviewees also shortens the distance between the audience abroad and the dom estic affairs, which m akes the news m ore popular among people. Since China 24 is well-designed, forming verified, and depth and width mastered, it has reached the goal of spr eading the news. Meanwhile, it is a pe rfect interpretation learning material. In order to learn more about interpreting English news into Chinese, basing o n the in terpreter’s consecutive interpretation experience on excerpts from China 24, she sums up the experiences and deficiencies, and then writes down this report. The writer is hoping that this repor t would not only help her im prove herself effectively, but also prov ide some reference and f urther discussions for other news interpreters in the future.This report consists of three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion. Its main contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction. It briefly introduces the interpretation task. It also explains the author’s viewing to th e interpretation task. S he wants to find out her shortcomings and defects in order to correct them and goes further on the road of being a qualified interpreter. Besides, she a lso wants to provide som e reference and further discussions for other news interpreters.The second part is the main body, which is made up of three chapters:Chapter One is the assignm ent description. It includes the features of news interpretation, as well as the goals of the interpretation task.Chapter Two mainly introduces the process of the interpretation assignment. In this chapter, it consists of three parts: the pre-interpretation process, the execution of the translation and the finalization. It first intr oduces the preparation of the interpretation tools and then introduces the preparation of th e materials. After that, it moves to how to make out the interpretation plan and think out some measures to maintain constancy and coherence. Finally it introduces the quality control proc ess after interpretation. As the author is lack of this kin d of real experience, being nervous is inev itable. So the quality control for finalization is of great importance. It contains a great many of self checks and then handle the materials to other people.Chapter Three concentrates on the interpre tation methods and case analysis. This report has used Alexander Fraser Tytler’s Three Principles of Translation to guide the consecutive interpretation of the ne ws. In addition, this report also analyzes the idiom s and four words format which are used during the interpretation process from English to Chinese in the news. Be sides, it also m entions the conversion to the parts of speech to make the tar get language much easier for people to understand according to their language habit.The last part is the conclusion, which makes a summary of the whole report and sums up the gains, lessons as well as the unsolved problem s discovered during the interpretation process. In addition, it points out that the interpreter should practice more and pay more attention to the ancient literature in daily life in order to be better at dealing with complex sentences.
