As a "special" group with somehow different identity and culture background, to study the culture adaptation of foreign students of Chinese origin can not only help us know more about their Chinese academic study, but also will help them better adapt their study and life in China.On the basis of previous studies, we summarized up some factors that will affect the culture adaptation of the subjects in this paper; organized and formulated four standards to judge the situation of cultural adaptation; on which we carried out our study on two main parts. First part, with questionnaire surveys, we found in the time of one month, their culture adaptation as a whole went well, the most influential element is family and identity elements, and the four standards of culture adaptation from high to low are as following:identity adaptation, social and cultural adaptation, cross cultural communication, study and school academic adaptation. Second part, based on one subject we studied, we found that the overall cultural adaptation trend matches with Oberg’s Cultural Adaptation Four Stage theory, though share some differences too. And the overall cultural adaptation trend also might support the Cultural Adaptation Development Theory of Kim.
