Mezzo Soprano voice, as one of the female voices, is an indelible part in the development of opera. As a composer, Mozart is famous for the classical era, and the number of opera works during his creative peak period are more or less reflects the Mezzo Soprano singing characteristics, which improves the formation of Mezzo Soprano voice and plays an crucial role on developing and promoting the Mezzo Soprano voice.This thesis takes Cherubino’s two aria as the main research object and Cherubino is the first Mezzo Soprano voice role in the Mozart’s most widely circulated comic opera "Le Nozze di Figaro". Taking the connection between the Mezzo Soprano voice’s development and Mozart as the clue to the link, and taking the role of Cherubino and the aria’s composing characteristics as the key of analysis, finally analyzing the overall singing style of Mozart’s opera works, the specific singing style of Cherubino’s two aria, and contrasting the most representative Mezzo Soprano singers’ singing in different periods, the paper gives the conclusion about the deep understanding in the process of the performance of Mozart’s opera works by the Mezzo Soprano voice.This paper mainly expounds four aspects: the first part is the introduction which interprets the purpose and significance of this thesis research, briefly summarizes the research status both in China and foreign countries, and also presents the key study contents and the organizational frame. The second part firstly introduces the voice features of the Mezzo Soprano voice from a scientific point of view and then further elaborates the formation and development of the Mezzo Soprano voice through combing the relationship between the history of the Mezzo Soprano voice’s development and creation of the Mozart’s opera. In the third part, it provides a fundamental basis for an in-depth understanding about the singing style of the Mozart Mezzo Soprano Aria via not only analyzing the fixed position of Cherubino who is the Mezzo Soprano role in the Mozart’s most representative works of the comic opera " Le Nozze di Figaro ", but also at the same time, it explores the unique characteristics of creating the Cherubino aria. Referring to the last part, this thesis unites the overall singing style of the Mozart’s opera work, the specific singing style of Cherubino’s two arias, and the singing version analysis, among the early castrato singers and the three mezzo-soprano singers, finally it sums up the opinion that how can the Mezzo Soprano voice sing Mozart aria work in a better performance.According to the research on the singing style of the Mezzo Soprano Aria in the Mozart opera, this paper represents two essential points in general. On one hand, it reexamines the music idea and faith of Mozart opera under the basis of the dimension to the opera’s history. On the other hand, it organizes the concepts for Mezzo Soprano voice, and it elaborates the Mozart Mezzo Soprano voice work style of singing’s guiding significance to the Mezzo Soprano singer’s music practices. And draw four conclusions:1.The Mezzo Soprano voice has a unique vocal characteristics, due to the different structure of the vocal cords, and there is an obviously difference in the vocal range, tone, and vocal expression with other female voice;2. The development of Mezzo Soprano voice is inseparable from the opera creation of Mozart Vienna period, and the inheritance and development of Mozart’s opera works, and is also inseparable from the different times Mezzo Soprano voice singing the second creation;3. The role positioning of Mozart Mezzo Soprano voice and the uniqueness of music creation promote the formation and development of the Mezzo Soprano voice aria;4. Mezzo Soprano singing Mozart aria, should follow the requirements of the work performed, according to their own characteristics and the understanding of the work, which can maintain a balance between inheritance and development.
