The word "Ranhou" is used frequently and in large quantities in modern spoken Chinese. In the corpus of overseas students, the emergence of "Ranhou" is quite frequent and also exists the abuse of "Ranhou". On the other hand, with the generalization of "Ranhou" in spoken Chinese, great changes have taken place in its meaning and function. Besides, it is used as a discourse marker now. However, this change has not been fully reflected and is limited in listing and classification. Based on the above reasons, this article adopts the combined method of description and explanation, using the "Yang Lan Interview Record" corpus and "Jinan University Spoken Corpus of Overseas Students", to completely describe the connection functions, syntactic forms, semantic relations and pragmatic features and the function of discourse makers of "Ranhou". At the same time, we compare the different usage between overseas students and native speakers as well as the different usage of different stages of overseas students. In this way, we sum up the characteristics of the usage of "Ranhou" of overseas students in spoken Chinese. Through the analysis of the "Yang Lan Interview Record" corpus, we conclude that in spoken Chinese, as a conjunction,"Ranhou" connects the semantic relations of both the basic table time order and generalized logical semantic relations. Also, it contains the usage of discourse makers without semantic meanings. The usage of "Ranhou" as a discourse maker is quiet frequent and it is mainly used to continue and take up the topic; Through the study of "Jinan University Spoken Corpus of Overseas Students", we conclude that overseas students can better master "Ranhou" that conveys the table time semantic relation, and on the contrary, have a weak master of "Ranhou" that conveys logical semantic relation. Overseas students use "Ranhou" as discourse markers more frequently than native speakers, and with the further study of Chinese, the usages of "Ranhou" changes.
