With the rapid development of the network today, the middle school students use the Internet to get the information they need and at the same time, the online violent games have become an important life way to get relaxed in a place that relatively lacking of scientific, healthy entertainment and relaxation methods. The mode of online violent games has changed from the original of man-machine battle to the mode of interpersonal battle through the Internet. The online games have higher reality, flexibility and involvement than early personal computer games. For high school students who have pressure, the online games have a strong attraction. This makes it to have an important position students’normal life, and then becomes an important way for senior high school students’ release of libido.Research on the relationship between personal violent games and aggressive behavior have achieved some academic achievements. Of course, controversy still exists, so further research and exploration are still needed. But the research on violent online games is a new branch of the field of media violene. The localization of research in this area is obviously insufficient, we still use foreign research results. Even though the study of the foreigners can play some reference role, because of the differences in culture and traditions, some research conclusions are not applicable to our reality.Objective:The aim of the present research is to study the relationship between the violent online games and aggressive behavior on senior high school students. On the basis of previous studies on the relationship of violent games and adolescents’ aggressive behaviors, the present study tried to find a correlation between high school students’aggressive behavior and their violent online game use. The present study also tried to find whether the impact of violent online games’on aggressive behavior is diffrent in diffrent period after controlling relevant controlled variables.Object:350students of the Sichuan Kaijiang senior hingh school took part in our study and completed the questionnaires.343questionnaires were returned, of which327copies of valid questionnaires, accounting for more than95.33%. Of all the participants,169people were17year old and the other158people were16years old; on the other hand171people were girls(52.29%) and the other156people were boys (47.71%).Methods and procedures:The revised Chinese version of VGQ Questionnaire was used to represnt the corresponding violent online game exposure of all the subjects. Using the regression analysis and with the video violence, family violence, peer violence, competitiveness as controlled variables, our study tried to determine whether there was a correlation between violent online games and aggressive behavior. The present study also uesd the Z scores to clarify the degrees of exposure to violent online games in different period, and then explored whether the exposre degree of different period have different impact on aggressive behavior.Conclusion:This study demonstrated that there was a positive correlation between exposure to violent online games and high school students’aggressive behavior. This is consist with-previous studies. Further analysis found that after controlling relevant controlled variables, the degree of exposure to violent online games in different period had a significant impact on aggressive behavior. The present study also foud that the earlier the subject exposed to violent online games, the impact on their aggressive behavior is bigger. This might suggest that early exposure to violent online games have more significant influence on late exposure.
