Asthe Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang takes a big part in it, with good appearance and highartistic value, this paper will place it on the core place. Meanwhile, according to thetransmission and development of fresco compositions of Tang Dynasty, it will bemarked into different periods, such as the early, middle and middlelate Tang Dynasty,and combined with the influence of political, economical and cultural environment ofthat time, to try to explain the artistic features of fresco composition of Tang Dynastyin the view of the development of art, reduce its reaching influence on the latergenerations deeply in different points of view, and reinforce this paper’s authority andacademic influence through as much paperwork and photocopies as possible. What’smore, as the influence of fresco composition of Tang Dynasty had a great influenceon Japanese paintings, this paper will also explain it compared with some typical localpaintings from India, Egypt and European countries to clarify their characteristics.
