However, some problems appeared in the classroom of college public English-teaching, and the problems can’t be neglected, esp. the problem about the class communication activity among students become clearer and clearer. In order to investigate the current problems in the class communication activity objectively and truely, the author of the study also adopted the questionnaire method and interview method on the basis of the literature research method. The investigated objects are freshman and junior of non-English major Zhengzhou Institute of Science and Technology. Under the direction of Kagan Cooperation Communicative Study Theory, the questions of the paper include four aspects, e.g. interdependence, responsibility, the justice of participation, interaction. The result of analysis is that there are some current problems of the communication among students activity in college public English class, e.g. students’the consciousness of cooperation study is weak, and they can’t solve problems on the basis of dependending classmates; students can’t participate in the communication activity responsibly; the communication chance is not fair for students in the activity; the activity can’t mobilize the enthusiasm of students at the same time. Through analyzing the reasons of the above problems, and combining students’ideas colleced in interview, the author finally put forward some strategies about promoting the communication among students in college public English class, e.g. changing the deep-rooted traditional learning belief; gradually cancelling some students’the psychological factor of "unbelieve"through activities in and out class; enhancing students’consciousness and ability of interpersonal communication in class; balancing the unhealthy psychological factors between the students who have a good English basis and the students who have a weak English basis; directing the group study correctly to improve the ability to organizing and coordinating of the group leader,etc. The author hopes to promote the improvement of the college public English teaching quality furtherly through the study. In addition, the author also talked about the category and features of communication activity among students in college public English teaching. It’s category includes four kinds, such as brain storm, group communication, communication in pair and communication online. The category of brain storm can be divided into three kinds, such as personal report-community feedback, discussion one to one and role play-community feedback. The feature of the activity has dynamics, democracy, sociality, equity and openness. Dynamics refers to the feature of communication as a language tool for English. Through communication, the college public English class has the sign of human being’s life, and the class teaching can "move", it is no longer the mode of "listening" and "teaching", is diversification mode of communication; Dynamics mainly refers to the problem of equality between teacher and student in college public English teaching. The problem of equality mainly has two contents, such as equal the right of speech and the status; Sociality is some elements of interpersonal communication and emotion communication in the class, it is the speciality of the communication among students; Equity is to let students have fair chance of expressing ideas; Openness is the harmonious and comfortable class environment in college public English class, so students can have enough right of speech, they can communicate and imagine freely so that their specialities and domination position can be showed. Of course, there some shortcomings in this study, e.g. investigation should be deepened, compare the different performances between arts students and science students, find their differences and finally put forward more targeted strategies. The author hopes that the study can supply some effective reference values for college public Englsih teaching reform.
