Those movies describing the old which keep pace with the era keenly capture this social phenomenon, so their lens lock in old people, pay close attention to them and reflect their survival situation and psychological feelings. Meanwhile, the scenes of the Setting Sun depicted in the films provide a good view to understand this serious situation more profoundly.Although films in China has a history of more than one hundred years, but The Older Movie came up later than some other countries. Although the quantity and quality of those movies has made great progress in the past few years, and the constant innovation and the transformation of them are getting results in the new century, yet many problems still exist in the process of its creating, such as the flat characters, the heavy narrative style, etc. Thus this article will discuss the progress and deficiency in detail. Besides, there are a few studies of the domestic scholars who have been concerned about The Old Movie in recent days, but they have not pay enough attention to this. The research in this paper would contribute to the development of China’s The Old Movie.
