Report On Chinese Translation Of The Polluted Sediment Treatment

At present, great progress has been made in the fields of Chinese industry andscience. However, in other fields, there are still broad gaps between China and foreigncountries. Therefore, we must strive to learn theory and technology from developedcountries, and one of these means is to get related information through translation. So,we should make more efforts to translate documents concerned.This report is completed on the basis of the translation of two documents oncontaminated sediment treatment. It summarized both the difficulties encountered inthe process of translation and the solutions attempted. The report gave an introductionto the translation task and process and discussed the ways to deal with problems onthree levels: vocabulary, sentence and text. In the end, a summary was made of thistranslation practice.
