The Uygur dance is very famous in the whole dance system. During the long history of its development, it has accumulated rich experience and achievements, formed a huge resources. It is also the very critical type in the art of national dances. Due to the organic fusion of many nationalities in history, it has made the Uygur dance display diverse characteristics. Such objective conditions also gave birth to the Urgur’s positive, brave and optimistic personality. As an important component in the Uighurs’life. No matter in holidays or festival days, the local people will express their inner feelings through collective dances, and highlight the characteristics of positive and optimistic spirit.The Uygur dance is roughly divided into three colorful areas:the first is the eastern part of Xinjiang region, which includes both Han and Uyghur’s dance styles, specifically distributed in Hami and Turpan regions. The second is the Duolang area, the dance has the characteristics of bold and nomads styles. And it distributed in Bachu, Markit, Awat County and the border of Markit and Yarkant. The third area lies in the northern area of Xinjing. The characteristics of the dance there has a complete structure and various ethnical and cultural factors. And it highlighted the characteristics of the beautiful melody. It has a certain scale of the features, which lies in Yili region.The artistry and functionality of the Uygur dance are extruded. We can refine them into three categories:the first type is self-entertainment dance. Sanam is the representative, which is uninhibited, natural and unrestrained, and has the characteristics of freedom and warm. It can make people bop to the top in the joyful influences. The second one is the dance for customs and ceremony. It can be associated with ritual activities, which have obvious religious colors. Samar dance is the representative. The third is for performance, which covers the former two kinds of dance, and has involved in some other similar dance elements. In the historical precipitation and elutriation, it has become into a modern model structure system. Its artistic color is comparatively obvious. Its representative is called the Plate Dance.The teaching of Uygur dance should pay full attention to the outstanding of folk elements. Due to the development of the history, the dance is not exceptional too. We should think of keeping pace with the times to promote the further development of the Uygur dance. In the concrete teaching process, we should grasp the characteristics of the music during the dance and make a good job of contrast. At the same time, we should encourage the students to expand the creative work of the dance and understand the style characteristics of the Uygur dance. In addition, the author thinks that we should reform the original teaching mode and get rid of the old part to make the dance adapt to the developing trend.
