With the growth of China’s comprehensive national strength and the growth of China’sinternational status,Chinese is getting more and more attention from other countries as amedium of communication."Chinese hot" is in a state of growing.With the development betweenChina and Africa, African students will become one of the most promising groups of Chineselearners, it is necessary for us to study this special group.The author has favour to be an intern inHenan University to contact with the group of African students who are studying Chinese.Theyare excellent staff of one company. In order to have a better development of China-Africa trade,the company sent them to Henan University international college of Chinese learning for free.By the end of the semester whoever passes HSK-4will have the opportunity to stay in Chinawhich is their dream. So they have both good purpose and strong learning motivation to learnChinese. As a foreign language teacher, in order to help them to fulfil the task of learningChinese smoothly and efficiently, we must work out a good teaching design before the start ofteaching activities.This essay is based on the author’s internship experience in Henan University.According to the factors such as education, age characteristics, cognitive ability and learningpurpose of the students in Afican custom class,the author will discuss how to have Chineseprimary comprehensive course to the ice-breaking level African students. Let’s take lesson ten“where he lives” that is a transition of phonetic teaching stage to sentence grammar teachingphase in the "Chinese textbook",for example.This article will state from the following four parts:The first part is introduction. It introduces the purpose and significance of selecting thetopic from the current situation of the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the author’s practice experience and the selection of teaching object and so on. It alsosummarizes theory about primary Chinese comprehensive course teaching design(primaryChinese comprehensive course teaching theory and teaching design theory, etc.) and theory ofChinese learning strategy that African students use and the method of researching this thesis.The second part is the basis of teaching design of "where he lives".It will expound from theteaching material analysis, model analysis, the principles that teaching design should follow, theteaching method and the basis, the arrangement of teaching hours, the use of teaching tools, etc.The third part is the concrete teaching design of "where he lives" which is the main part of this thesis. It will analysis the teaching object and their characteristics, learning needs, and basedon this the author will set teaching goal, organize teaching contents and sort out the difficultpoint of the text,then prepare everything for the class, such as integrating the audiolingualmethod and communicative teaching method, arranging a reasonable class and getting teachingtools ready.The fourth part is the conclusion. It sums up the shortcomings through the whole teachingdesign theory prevue.
