Vocabulary teaching has always been of great importance in Teaching Chinese asa Foreign Language. Vocabulary is an important part of the language and any kind oflanguage learning cannot do without the accumulation of vocabulary. Because of theexistence of a wealth of synonyms and near synonyms in Chinese, phenomena ofword confusion and misuse of words are inevitable when foreign students havemastered certain vocabulary. Thus, confusing words discrimination is also difficultydifficult point in vocabulary teaching. With the accelerating process of theinternational promotion of Chinese language, country-specific Teaching Chinese as aForeign Language appears more and more important.Starting from thecountry-specific perspective, taking South Korean students as the research object andbasing on "HSK dynamic composition corpus" of Beijing Language and CultureUniversity, this article has explored the errors appearing when Korean students useconfusable words.and the sorted generalization and the cause analysis are carriedout for these errors. With the combination of the error types and causes, a specificteaching strategy is put forward to provide reference for Teaching Chinese as aForeign Language Vocabulary.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part, which mainly introduces the reason andthe significance for the selected topic, summarizes the research status from the aspectof the study of experts and scholars on synonyms, synonyms and confusable words inrecent years and analyzes the achievements and shortcomings of the existingoutcomes, thereby making clear the research object and the research method andthinking of this paper.The second chapter is the analysis on the error types of the confusing words forSouth Korean students. Starting from the authentic materials of Korean students andfrom the two aspects of morpheme and words, confusable words are classified intomainly four types, including the confusion of words with the same morpheme, theconfusion of words with non-identical morpheme, errors caused by similar meaningsof Chinese and Korean and the confusion of words with similar or identical pronunciation.The third chapter is the characteristics and cause analysis of confusing words forSouth Korean students. In this chapter, the cause analysis is mainly made from theaspects of the target language Chinese, mother language Korean, the teachingmaterials and the students.The fourth chapter is the teaching strategy. In this chapter, the error types and thecause analysis in the first two chapters are combined to put forward some specificteaching strategies to serve for teaching.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part. In this chapter, the main content of thispaper as well as the existing deficiencies are mainly summarized and the furtherresearch direction is pointed out.
