| With the development of Confucius Institute and the increasing number of foreignstudents in China, it is of more significance to adopt different teaching methods and evendifferent teaching contents to teach the learners of Chinese as a foreign language withdifferent culture backgrounds. It is urgent to conduct the teaching of Chinese as a foreignlanguage according to the real situation of different countries. Informed by error theory, based onthe analysis and summary of error study in every aspects of Chinese and the “Chinese word errors corpus inSouth Korean students in Chinaâ€, a new sub-corpus is built by extracting Chinese errors of South Koreanstudents with the purpose of finding out the error performance made by South Korean students, seeking thepossible causes of these errors, applying the results to the teaching practice and also Chinese vocabularylist designed for the teaching of Chinese for South Korean students, thereby promoting the teaching ofChinese as a foreign language in different countries.This thesis is composed of six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction, in which the status quo of related subject researchare introduced from the following aspects: Chinese error study, word error of Chinese as asecond language, word error of Chinese for Korean students, the achievements andweaknesses are analyzed, and the significance and research object as well as methods areclarified.The second chapter discusses the building of “Chinese vocabulary error corpus in SouthKorean students in Chinaâ€. The corpus, as the sub-corpus of “Chinese inter-language corpusof South Korean studentsâ€, is built on the basis of the latter. Firstly, the building process anddata tagging of “Chinese inter-language corpus of South Korean students†are introduced.Secondly,“Chinese word errors corpus in South Korean students in China†is built byextracting word errors after those word errors have been classified. Lastly, the related dataabout errors is counted.The third chapter is about the word error types of South Korean students. Those errorsare analyzed and classified into four types: semantic error, word missing or redundancy,non-Chinese words and errors about separable words. Then, those types are further dividedinto some sub-types.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the causes of the Chinese vocabulary errors made by South Korean students from the perspective of linguistics and cognitive psychology.The fifth chapter is concerned with the application of the Chinese vocabulary errors, theresults of which are used in the teaching of Chinese for South Korean students and fivesuggestions are provided for vocabulary teaching. Then, the imagination about classificationof the teaching vocabulary list for South Korean students is presented with the intention ofcombining theory with practice.The last chapter recaps the whole project, esp. the major findings, points out somelimitations of this study, and finally puts forward some suggestions for further study in future. |
