Study Of The Rhetoric Word-formation In Chinese Network Words

Abstract:In recent years, with the network development, various network words emerge in endlessly, and gradually accepted by more and more people. The research of network words now is a new field of study in word. However, most of these studies focused on the form of network words’ structure, the generation factor, basic types, functional characteristics, and the specification. The research of the rhetoric word-formation in network words is seldom.Rhetoric word-formation is the organization of the morpheme to create new words, which is important on the word-formation. Rhetoric word-formation can make the language more vivid, and give the words more colorful meanings. These words conform to the netizens’ psychological requirements, and suitable for the network environment. So the rhetoric word-formation is very important on the creation of network words. The study of the rhetoric word-formation becomes necessary.In this paper, the object of study is the words from "Xinhua Wangluo Yuyan Cisian""Wangluo Xinyu Mantan" and some famous websites and BBS. Based on the analysis of the words create by rhetoric word-formation, study its different types, then classify and explain it.This paper is divided into five chapters, the specific contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction. Introduce the basis of this topic, the goal of this research objectives, and the significance of this research. Then determine the object of this research, and discusses the sources of data and research methods of this paper.The second chapter gives the definition of rhetoric word-formation, gives a brief introduction of the history and the present situation of this topic.The third chapter research the commonly ways of the rhetoric word-formation in Chinese network words. Based on the research of the other people, we classify the rhetoric word-formation as:word-formation of analogy, word-formation of metonymy, word-formation of simulation, word-formation of the exaggeration, word-formation of harmonic, word-formation of shorten and word-formation of tactfully. Then analysis each classification. The fourth chapter analysis the characteristic of the rhetoric word-formation in Chinese network words. And study the reasons of the rhetoric word-formation in Chinese network words’popular.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Summarize the results of our research, and point out the possible problems in this article.
