A Study On Word Formation Of Honghu Dialect

Honghu dialect belongs to southwest mandarin of northern dialect,dialect words are rich and has their own characteristics.In this thesis,we collect Honghu dialect vocabularies,then describe,analyze and discuss the characteristics of word formation,vocabulary's meaning and grammar function when it's in a sentence.The paper is divided into eight parts,the first part is introduction,consist of the basic geography humanities situation of Honghu,the present research situation of Hubei and Honghu dialect,the route and conception of this thesis.The second part is about Honghu dialect phonetics,Honghu dialect characteristic of initials,finals and tones,and the law of the system and cooperate.The third part explains the relevant concepts of word formation and types,mainly analyzes the research status and present research situation and its value.The fourth part focus on the phonetic means of word formation,discuss it from three angles,onomatopoeia type,variable type and geminate type.The fifth part take form word formation as the research object,analyzing the overlap word formation of nouns,verbs and adjectives in Honghu dialect and also add word-formation and flexor longish word formation as well.The sixth part is syntactic construction,and summarizes different word formation like parallel type,partial type,verb-object type,subject-predicate type and verb-complement type.The seventh part is rhetoric word formation,generalizes the figurative word formation,metonymy word formation,hyperbole word formation,word-formation and implicit word formation in Honghu dialect.The eighth part is epilogue,sum up several main ways of word formation in Honghu dialect,analyze those patterns and characteristics,finally summarize the shortage of the paper.This thesis guided by the modern linguistic theories,on the basis of the fieldwork,we discussed and analyzed the formation characteristics of Honghu dialect and word formation methods under the existing research results,hope this work can deepen the Honghu dialect vocabulary study.
