The Study On Emerging Polarity Degree Structure "X Dao Mei Pengyou"

Complement is an important syntactic component in Chinese,and the complement with degree meaning is one of them.We find that with the development of society,information is rapidly spreading in the network era,and degree complement is constantly updated and evolved,and various types of new forms are constantly emerging.The expression"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)is a polar-degree complement structure that has emerged on the Internet in recent years,Due to its particularity in syntax,semantics,pragmatics,formation mechanism and social causes,it needs to be described and explained in detail.This paper intends to further explore the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic functions of"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)on the basis of previous studies,and to analyze the formation mechanism and social motivation behind it,so as to have a deeper understanding of the characteristics of the expression"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”).This paper mainly describes and explains the emerging polar degree structure"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)from the aspects of syntactic features,semantic features,pragmatic functions,formation mechanisms and social causes.In the first chapter,the structure identification of the emerging polarity degree expression"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)was conducted.Goldberg's construction theory was used to determine the structure"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)as a structure.The complement mark"to"and the semantically blurred and formalized"mei pengyou"are the constants of this construction.The variable"X"has a variety of parts of speech,mainly adjectives,followed by verbs and phrasal verbs,nouns and noun phrases,and some special forms.Then,the syntactic functions of the construction"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)are analyzed.It has various syntactic functions,mainly as a syntactic component,mainly as a predicate,.At the same time,it is found that"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)can also be used in special sentence patterns such causative construction marked by rang‘?'and by bei‘?'.The second chapter firstly analyzes the semantic features when"X"is a property adjective,verb and noun.Through analysis,we find that the words or phrases that can enter into this construction need to have semantic characteristics of degree,mainly positive words,neutral words and derogatory words.Then,the construction meaning of"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)is analyzed as the feeling or evaluation of the degree meaning of the subjective polarity made by the speaker for a certain character of"X".The main characteristics are:degree meaning of the polarity,subjectivity and evaluability.The subjectivity embodied in the construction"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)is mainly embodied in the speaker's subjective feelings and subjective evaluation.The commentary mood adverbs and mood words with the speaker's subjective feeling or attitude also further enhance the subjectivity of the construction.The third chapter mainly analyzes the pragmatic function of the emerging polar degree construction"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”),which is mainly reflected in three aspects:First,the"friendless"at the end of a sentence mainly bears the meaning of polarity degree,is the main information that the speaker wants to express,and is the highlighted part.Second,the emerging polarity degree structure"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”)is mainly widely used in the network language style.It has the characteristics of appealing and creative network language,rich in semantics and novel form,and can well express the speaker's strong subjective feelings or subjective evaluation.Third,the defamiliarization breaks through people's usual cognition,increases the defamiliarization in language understanding and feeling,increases the readability of the structure,and makes it more meaningful.The fourth chapter first discusses the formation mechanism of the structure"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”),Then the social reasons for its popularity and generalization are explained.The metaphorical mechanism from the result domain metaphor to the degree domain is the main mechanism that promotes the formation of the emerging polar degree configuration"X dao mei pengyou"(“X????”).Social factors such as the psychology of seeking novelty and difference and the promotion of network media have provided a strong external driving force for its formation and development.The last part is the conclusion.This paper mainly summarizes the main conclusions and points out the shortcomings of the article...
