"feichang", "yichang", "gewai", "fenwai" is a group of words which be used in high frequency in modern Chinese degree adverbs. According to different sources, we classify this group of degree adverbs into two categories: come from adjectives, such as "feichang", "yichang"; come from the phrase which consists of noun and the locative "wai", such as "gewai", "fenwai". They expresse a high degree of righteousness, in general, although being used interchangeably, they will not aganist grammar rules. However, we found that there are many differences on semantics,syntax and pragmatics between two groups, even in the same type from the corpus investigation.This paper selects "feichang", "yichang", "gewai", "fenwai" as objects for study,comparing their semantic, gramma, pragmatic of modern Chinese, and explore the differences from their own evolution processes.From the synchronic plane compare their semantics in modern Chinese, grammar,pragmatics differences:(1)Syntax: the article from "feichang", "yichang", "gewai", "fenwai" modify a verb,an adjective, modifying a noun, and Negative cash, modified verb-object phrase,modified joint phrase, modified and even that phrase, modification of the number of phrases, as well as the structure of the co-occurrence and compare these aspects of the function, a comparative analysis of these four words. These four words are the differences found in the combination of capacity and capacity to act as syntactic functions.(2) Semantics: Differences "feichang", "yichang", "gewai", "fenwai" in the modified general verb, a noun, act alone syntactic elements(primary, that, Penn) modified joint phrases, and compare the differences in the structure of the co-occurrence of these four words meaning and extent of deputy justice between adjective comparative analysis. It found that they represent different semantics in different useages.(3) Pragmatics: This article from the body language of color, comparative analysis of emotional color, frequency of use of these three areas, "feichang", "yichang","gewai", "fenwai"differences in pragmatic terms. The "feichang " tend to use spokenlanguage, while the other three words tend to use written language. "yichang" tend to express negative emotions color, and "feichang positive emotions tend to represent colors, "gewai", "fenwai" no apparent emotional color tendencies. On frequency of use, "feichang" in four words in the station absolute advantage.Meanwhile, this paper took evolution to explore the reasons for these differences are generated. Namely Modern Mandarin "feichang", "yichang", "gewai", "fenwai" usage are their respective product of historical development, from a diachronic perspective, the presence of each usage has its historical reasons.
