Jeong Do-Jeon is one of the most influential founders of Chosun Dynasty. As the political founder, he is also a victim of dynastic politics. His reform thoughts made a huge contribution to the administer affairs of the early Chosun Dynasty; Genre of anti Buddhism deconstructed the central position of Buddhism. Wise politics laid the foundation for social etiquette of the Chosun Dynasty. This paper puts focus on the "Goryeosa"(高丽史),"Annals of the Chosun Dynasty"(朝鲜王朝实录)and "Sambongjip"(三峰集)ind other historical data sets, bases on based on Jeong Do-Jeon’s life and works, on the one hand, analyzes the educational idea of Jeong Do-Jeon by the epistemology, ethics and the theories of Confucianism; On the other hand, demonstrates his education activities in the early Chosun Dynasty by researching the selection system and the school system, and then summed up his educational idea and activities which played a decisive role in promoting the establishment of the education policy in the early Chosun Dynasty.This paper can be divided into five chapters.Chapter one introduces the research purpose, the significance and the literature reviews, and the research methods.Chapter two discusses the social background of late Corea and early Korean period, then introduces the lifetime of Jeong Do-Jeon. This period significantly contributed to the changing of Korean history. It achieved the succession and innovation of Korea in politics, and established a new nation based on Confucianism. With the meritorious service of Chosun, Jeong Do-Jeon mastered the political, financial, military power. His ideas of reform produced profound influence on the political, economic, military aspects of the new dynasty.Chapter three mainly elaborates the educational idea of Jeong Do-Jeon. He proposes that pedagogy has its feasibility for people’s temperament can be changed, and people would like to establish the school to "tong gi ja"; The purpose of education is transmitting the way to control one’s desire by strong will and explore moral in one’s mind; The content of implemental education is mainly based on Confucian idea of In(仁)、Ui(义)、Ye(礼)、Ji(智)and Qin(亲)、Yi(义)、Bie(别)、Shi(序)、Shin(信).The selection of officials in the Confucian scholar, assign "Jin Yu hack Ja "(真儒者)to a post, in order to set up a well-regulated society with the moral thinking of people-oriented, also an ideal Confucian society.Chapter four mainly discusses Jeong Do-Jeon’s education activities. Researching these activities by examine system and the school system. Jeong Do-Jeon involved in public examination system by four ways:Confucian-oriented subjects, the abolition of private military (Sa-Byeong)(私兵)and the establishment of military examination(Moo-Kwa)(武科), the abolition of Jwa-Joo-Moon-Saeng(座主门生)and establishment of I-Kwa(吏科);At the same time, Jeong Do-Jeon has much influence on the Educational Policy of SungKyunKwan(成均馆)and HyangKyo(乡校)in the founding of Chosun Dynasty. His educational idea and education activities didn’t carry out with isolation, but implemented with relevance.Chapter five is the conclusion.
