| This is a report on the translation of bidding documents for a sports courts construction project. The source material is the bidding documents for the sports wooden floor, plastic track and other purchase and pavement project of No.4 Middle School of Daqing School Project Construction Headquarters, which I translated while working as an intern in Beijing Yuanhua Sports Courts Construction Co., Ltd. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the sports courts construction bidding documents, directed by skopos theory, this report makes a tentative discussion on Chinese-English translation of such text, then concludes with a summary of the writer’s experience in translation and suggestions for improvement. |
