The Practice Report On Translation Of Attributive Clauses In The Text Of Careers-Shore Based

With the further development of economic globalization, shipping industry, which as the tie between domestic and foreign economy, becomes increasingly significant. Since the relative mature of shipping technology abroad, the translation of shipping-related literature is important to propel the spreading of shipping-related knowledge as well as the developing of shipping industry.The translation of this part includes four phases:the background knowledge, intensive reading of the English text, translating process (including reading related literature) and proofreading the target text.This report, through instantiation, analyzes and concludes the translation strategies and skills used in the translation of attributive clauses in "Shore based --Careers" text. Besides, this report also summarizes the author’s translating experience and lessons learned, hoping it can have some referential significance to the translation of other shipping-related literature in the future.
