On The Occidentalisation In The News Translation From The Perspective Of Communicative Translation

After entering the WTO, communication between China and other countries become more frequent. An increasing number of English news has entered Chinese people’s life after translation. English news is subject to the influence of various factors such as form, content or consciousness in the process of translation. Researches on Europeanization are relatively common, while researches focused on Europeanization in news translation by means of using translation examples as material are rarely common.The study analyzes the Occidentalisation in news translation by illustrating translation examples chosen from iNews in China Daily within the framework of communicative translation. Translation examples from practice differs from those examples from corpus. Problems from translation practice are most real. Based on the researches, the study systematically summarizes the Occidentalisation in news translation and comes up with effective optimizing strategies. Through the comparisons and analysis, the study has concluded that the communicative translation theory is highly significant in solving the problems of Occidentalisation in news translation.The study applies communicative translation in analyzing news translation, emphasizes target readers and concretely analyzes the Occidentalisation in news translation, which makes the research meaningful in both theoretical and practical areas. Translators should attach importance to improving the quality of news translation in translation practice.
