Translation Practice Report On Tourism News From China Daily

China Daily is China's national English daily newspaper.t is a window for China to know the world and for the world to know China.With the development of the Internet,more and more tourists choose to understand the information of tourist destinations through the Internet.This translation practice report takes the author's original translation from China Daily's tourism news from June to October,2019 as the translation raw material and translates it into Chinese.This translation practice report is divided into four parts: The first part is a brief introduction to the translation task,which briefly describes the translation task from three aspects: source,characteristics and significance.The second part is the translation process.The third part is a case analysis.First,the translation issues in the news headline are briefly explained.The author uses Nida's functional equivalence theory in the translation process.Through specific case analysis,the explanation is from the vocabulary and syntax level The application of functional equivalence theory in travel news,and then the author explains the translation methods and techniques used in the translation process combined with specific case analysis.The fourth part is a summary,In this part,the author makes a summary about the whole paper and discusses how to solve some difficult problems that encountered in the process of translation and learns lots of knowledge from it.In addition,the author also noticed some limitations and proposed some Suggestions for further translation.In the case analysis part,the author not only expounds the guidance of functional equivalence theory to tourism news from lexical and syntactic aspects through examples,but also adopts some translation techniques,including addition and subtraction,part of speech conversion and recombination.It is hoped to provide some references for English-Chinese translation of tourism news.
