| Orhan Pamuk is credited as one of the three greatest contemporary European writers for his superb novel techniques and insights into Turkish spirit. From an extensive range of style and topics, he deeply excavated the pluralistic ideology and the psychological dilemma towards East-West relations in present Turkish society. This article tried to carry out in-depth analysis from a perspective of Pamuk’s unique emotional expression and ruin aesthetics system.In the first chapter, the author explored the root of Pamuk’s huzun, dug into its multilevel connotation, and analyzed the nation character of Turkish people, via comparison among the sense of confusion, melancholy and sweetness. The second chapter focused on Pamuk’s distinguished ruin aesthetics system, scrutinizing its nature, aesthetic values and historical sense.Based on deep appreciation of Pamuk’s novel, this article mainly concentrates on its humanity and nationality. Analysis on its uniqueness is conducted by comparing Western writing techniques and Turkish tradition writing culture.Further digging into Pamuk’s obsession on Turkish spirits and East-west cultural relationship, the sad and romantic spirit of Turkey has been revealed in this article. |
