A Practice Report On The Translation Of Two Medical Theses

This practice report is based on the translation of two theses published in SCI source journals. The English-Chinese translation task is commissioned by the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Tangshan Kailuan General Hospital in July 2014. This translation practice report mainly contains five parts. Task description is arranged in Chapter I, where the source, contents and requirements of the translation task are briefly summarized; Chapter II is process description, which introduces the whole process of the translation, duration and subsequent modification and proofreading, etc.; Chapter III is preparations for translation,introducing the preparations before the translation. Chapter IV is case analyses, which analyzes difficult problems and distinctive words and sentences in the process of translation,in order to provide reference to other translators; Chapter V is the practice summary, which sums up the whole process of translation and the experience and lessons from the translation practice, and puts forward my suggestion to future translation of similar medical text.
