The Sense Of Form Of The Stroke In Figurative Painting

Combining my personal creative practice, through learning from master works, I discuss the value and meaning in the sense of form of stroke of figurative painting in this paper.In my opinion, the sense of form of the stroke is not only help to enhance the readability of the works and make it to be a more complete range of works but also helps to increase the efficiency of shapes in figurative painting.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction.The second part discusses the painting shape and flattening of the stroke attributes and their relations. The third part introduces some master’s works which influences me greatly.And I sort out the characteristics of the change of the stroke in western painting. Through the analysis of various ways of stroke by the masters, I realize the importance of the sense of form of it.And I learn from their experience in handling the relationship between stroke and shape. The fourth part is creation experience, it focuses on the sense of the stroke’s specific effect on my own creation’s painting pattern, shape style and painting program.
