The 21 st century is an important mark for the leap of human civilization; it is also the critical period for the development of global politics, economy, culture and etc. At the same time, translators, the “strong intermediary” between China and the abroad bear the unprecedented pressure and responsibility.As an important channel for cultivating talents of translation, the translation teaching in Baoding higher vocational colleges has been influenced by a “double-edged sword”- global integration trend. Currently, English translation teaching in Baoding higher vocational colleges is still in a long-term marginalized period, without necessary attention. A conclusion that this kind of situation is still difficult to be improved could be drawn from the present analysis.The main study object of this paper is the teaching strategy in Baoding higher vocational colleges, which refers to teachers in higher vocational colleges aimed at the improvement of students’ translation qualification and translation level in the process of teaching, not just stay in the study of translation theory and translation practice blindly. It is a kind of teaching strategy that spurs the students to make progress and improve continuously. The ability of Baoding higher vocational college students to get information and solve information in the internationalization and the information society will be trained in the age of global economization and information, especially for the specific translation.The paper makes a short diachronic review on the development of translation teaching in Baoding higher vocational colleges through in-depth and detailed analysis. At the same time, it also focuses on the current situation of translation teaching in Baoding higher vocational colleges. In addition, this paper explains in detailed on the teaching strategy based on the improvement of the translation qualification and translation level in Baoding higher vocational colleges as well as the blocks. Finally, the paper finds some policies and strategies with effectiveness on the translation teaching strategy in Baoding higher vocational colleges by combining the previous research results as well as the investigation and analysis of the previous chapters. The paper is to contribute a little for the translation teaching in higher vocational colleges in our country including Baoding and the improvement of the students’ translation level.
