The thesis consists of three parts, namely, the source text of Interactive Learning Online at Public Universities: Evidence from a Six-Campus Randomized Trial, its Chinese version translated by the author and a report on the translation. The source text studies the effect of interactive learning online on learning outcomes. The Chinese version provides domestic researchers with some latest materials for reference. And the translation process deepens the translator’s understanding of translation theories as well as improves her translation skills.The translation report introduces the source text, including its author and its language features, and describes the translation process. Then examples are cited to show how the author and translator realize both lexical and syntactical equivalence under the guidance of Functional Equivalence theory. And the translation experience is summed up.
