The Research On The "Daya·Changwu" Of The Book Of Songs

ChangWuis a war epic in DaYa, which is a part of The Book of Songs. It described a history event of how the King ZhouXuanconquered XuFang. During that time, the empire Zhou had been decaying at both wealth and reverence, while to conquer a state being Huai river who has rich resource was a helpful and rewarding. With that background, this epic is full of passion and show a revival phenomena.Through reread and go over the references, this paper try to make a textual research of all aspects on the diverged views of explaining ChangWu like the author, topic, words using, et cetera.On the problem of the author of this epic, there are three kinds of view: Shaomu, Huairen, Yin Jifu. Combined the art artistic characteristics with history background, the writer tend to believe the author of this epic is Yin Jifu.How to explain the topic has been lasting for very long time and it is themostarguable issue. Some researchers believed the name of this work has been wrong, but some others thought the explains of the topic had some problems. Using the traditional exegetics to explain the inner meaning of this epic, the history background of King ZhouXuan and the ruling strategies of empire Zhou, the writer think the topic of Chang Wu" could be pronounced as "Shang Wu".This paper also try to use the exegetics way to explain some issues like ancient geographic, cast of characters and words using.In the epic, there are Xutu, Xuguo, Xufang, all of them are same state that is state Xu, but not the place of Huaixu. Because of the consistent war and some other reasons, state Xu had to move for several times in ancient time. At the period of late Xizhou, Xu had reached the Huai river as the epic said. That means ancient state Xu had a long process from strong to failed. With the details of this epic, it can be inferred that state after this costly war Xu suffered a heavy losses, and they made obeisance to empire Zhou finally.Nanzhong is a people living in the period of King ZhouXuan. Word "Dazhu" means temple of Dazhu, which across chapter one and two to depict Nanzhong, Huangfu, ChengboXiufu were all appointed at the temple of Dazhu. Huangfu is no different with the meaning in Between September and October, another epic in DaYa."Sanshi" is to indicate the management of state affairs, the executing of the law and administration of the people. "Arrange the three issues well" that means deal with those above things well.Besides the above subjects, the writer think Chang Wu is not only a epic but the real history. It contents the art of war with the lines of description. With that reason the writer argue that this work should be explained through the aspects of literary, history and art of war. The six chapters of Chang Wu written in a poetic easy style with well antithesis and sweeping sentence, affected Han dynasty deeply. As an epic, it also has very important value on study of state Xu and set of war etiquettes in Xizhou period. Using well coherence and parallel construction, this poem is a vivid portray of powerful war. The fifth chapter left behind a great influence on war narration which is called the fonder of art of war.
