Religion has been an important form of human civilization,it has been a relatively closed system andit also has a strong exclusiveness. There has been various conflicts betweenreligious which may be used by some religious extremists to break the peace of the society. It’s inevitable to have more communications between all the religions under the background of the times of great peace.Religious freedom has always given rise to religious diversity, and never has our diversity been more dramatic than it is today. The religious pluralism established the basis of the development of society and promoted the harmonious development of the world, the economic and cultural prosperity.At the same time there are many kinds of unprecedented crisis of modern humanbeings. Ecological crisis, energy crisis, racial conflicts intensified, etc. Many people havelearned that they met a common problem in social life. The religions are required to fighttogether to submit a solution. Interfaith dialogue and exchanges is becoming the inevitabletrend for all religions. How do religious diversity combining with the earth-human misery.John Hick, through the way of philosophy of religion brought a Copernican revolution inthe world of Christian theology, and changed the way people known god and Jesus. PaulKnitter, from the approach of the ethics practice, continued this theological revolution, inorder to eliminate the disadvantages of the era and human crisis, and promote the growthof the religion. Out of this background, in the development of religious diversity, PaulKnitter studied and researched the patterns of correlation between religious dialogue, andhe gave us a explanation for why today’s interfaith dialogue is needed. It is important forus to study his research. In this paper, we study and discuss how Knitter put forward hisinterconnected and global responsible dialogue mode, and the basis of his ethical practice.We study how Knitter from an absolute exclusive theorist to a religious pluralism, forwhich he doesn’t see the reality about the need of understanding to each other between thereligious and the communicating at start. In his theological road has experienced a lot ofinner struggle and doubt, and he very firmed at last to puts forward the model ofinterconnected dialogue with global responsibility. And facing the challenges from otherkinds of dialogue mode, Knitter constantly work hard in the process of reflection and advancing. He not only concerned about the current development of the religious, but alsosaw human crisis of the earth. He thinks the global responsibility based dialogue patternrequires that all religions need to listen the sufferings’ aspirations, and get together toeffort for seeking the earth-human and ecological wellbeing, and for religious bettertomorrow, to the world a better future.
