The ancient philosophers had long been focus the thought of human being, what isthe essence of human? How to realize the human liberation? These problems deeplyperplexed the generations of thinkers and philosophers. According to their own theorybackground and era of life, Marcuse and Marx had study and interpret the problem ofthe industrial society and human’s alienation. In the monopoly capitalism period,Marcuse has witnessed the increasingly material wealth of the capitalist country, theworking class also enjoying the abundance and ease like their capitalist. However, thealienation of people and the negative effects brought by science an technology isincreasingly evident. Marcuse interpret the reason of human’s alienation mainly fromthe psychological an cultural aspect, and put forward his unique insights about theultimate liberation. Mars mainly focus the people’s living conditions and mental stateof the early capitalism society from the macroscopic economic and political angle, andreal the cruel slavery and oppression suffered by the working class. He advocate theidea to overthrow the rule the bourgeoisie by the violent revolution of the proletariat,and finally realize the goal of human freedom and liberation.This article consists of three chapters of the introduction, main text and conclusion.The introduction part mainly introduced the origin of the selected topic, researchmeaning, research methods and the difficult point and innovation point of this article.The first part of the text, first of all, elaborate the human thought of Marcuse and Marxon the whole. The second part is the key of the paper, discussed the historicalassociation an differences of the two thinkers. The third part analyzed the rationality andlimitations of Marcuse’s human thought from the perspective of Marx. The conclusionof the paper summarize the impact to the later philosophers and the meaning to therealize of our construction of our socialist modernization.
