There are many ’pitch changing’ music notes within Chinese traditional music system. These notes are different from ’pitch remaining’ music notes of European music. They are very changeable and independent, its called ’tune trope’. The main characteristics of the ’tune trope’ is that the pitch is not fixed. However, nowadays, solmization which is used for reading music comes from ’Guelph solmization’. The characteristic of its roll call (do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si) is that the ’high pitch’ is fixed. However, using ’high pitch’ such as do, re, mi etc. to read unfixed music notes cannot illustrate Chinese music properly.Prof. Liang Wang’s ’lubrication music reading’ suggests that by changing modern roll call and music reading in order to illustrate a more Chinese likely music reading method. This paper first talks about the characteristics of Chinese music based on its geographic, culture, philosophy and so on.’Lubrication music reading’ comes from all of these and since its based on all of these, it proves that the ’lubrication music reading’ can be used in many different areas. The research paper talks about more about Chinese traditional music instruments such as zither, lute, harp. It also uses the actual music score to analyze the ’lubrication music reading’ and finally find out some rules and apply to actual classroom and this helps the development of Chinese traditional music and teaching.
