As a compulsory course in basic music education, solfeggio plays a decisive role in professional music education. In higher normal universities, which keep producing fresh teachers to our society, the solfeggio course in it has the responsibility to help transform students’ professional knowledge into teaching skills. However, this purpose is still in the stage of fuzzy while the cultivation of students’ teaching ability is completely ignored. In this paper, I am trying to bring a modern teaching methods named ’microteaching’ in solffegio teaching process to cultivate students’ practical ability and make the purpose of this course clear, which was based on the teaching of sight singing and ear training in Higher Normal Music College.According to microteaching method based on behaviorism psychology theory, the complex of teaching activities can be divided into a variety of controllable systems and use the means of modern education technology with feedback in the training. The introduction of this teaching method in solfeggio is feasible and necessary. First of all, this method have already being used in higher normal universities and lots of experience have been summarized. This kind of universities have good theoretical basic courses, together with clear teaching objectives which provide a perfect field for microteaching to be implementing effectively. Secondly, the introduction of microteaching in solfeggio is what the higher normal universities need to perfect the teaching goals, optimize the teaching mode, improve the teaching quality and fulfill the needs of development.On the basis of my original experience of learning and teaching experience, the materials come from books and papers of solffeggio and music education and the study of the use of microteaching in China and abroad, this research aimed at seeking more effective ways to solve the problem and put the ideas into reality. The main research methods are literature research method, comparative method and experience summary method.
