Based on the introduction of Chinese extensive reading textbooks and readability research results, this thesis, focusing on the problems in intermediate Chinese extensive reading textbooks, discusses the elements that influence its language difficulty and puts forward four important variables, that is, the average sentence length per 100 characters,the average number of new words per 100 characters,the average number of new characters per 100 characters, the average number of new language points(Class C, Class D) per 100 characters. On this basis, the author analyses the statistics of the three intermediate Chinese reading textbooks, and on the basis of problems when doing Statistics, puts forward relevant countermeasures. This paper is divided into four chapters, as follows:The first chapter mainly elaborates the selected topic reason, research status, research scope, research method, research purpose and research significance, including review of the research status of readability and text difficulty and quantitative analysis of Chinese reading teaching research.The second chapter explains the factors that influence the language Chinese characters, vocabulary, sentence level, discourse of language difficulty, and select the average sentence length per 100 characters,the average number of new words per 100 characters,the average number of new characters per 100 characters and the average number of new language points(Class C, Class D) per 100,as the character difficult variables, and then discusses the determination of the basis and criteria for the selected variables, according to Guo Wanghao(2012) Chinese text difficulty coefficient that readability formula:Y=0.085X1+0.39X2 +0.271X3+0.254X4.The third chapter focuses on the three intermediate reading text corpus difficult statistical analyses. The easy reading, intermediate Chinese reading is a non graded readers, Graded Chinese Reader2, Reading China3 A for the classification of Chinese reading extensive reading materials.Through the analysis of the difficulty of variables, easy reading, intermediate Chinese reading, Graded Chinese Reader2, Reading China3 A classification results are respectively 16.17, 9.23, 8.35.The difficulty coefficient statistical according to the results shows that classification of extensive reading materials is significantly lower than that of non graded readers.The fourth chapter summarizes the three textbooks of statistics and analysis of the problems found in the intermediate Chinese extensive reading materials, including the definition of the book, which is not clear enough, intermediate Chinese reading textbooks are lack of uniform standards, the three textbooks focus on the gradient inside of the text difficulty is not much.At the same time, it puts forward compiled suggestions for the intermediate Chinese reading text, including extensive reading words arrangement proposal, and extensive reading difficulty of internal gradients proposed.
