The research of bronze is an important subject in the research of Chinese archaeology, among them, the study of bronze ware producing area is an essential in the study of C hinese bronze ware field; it is also one of the key and difficult point of metal urgical archaeological.This paper studies the eastern Zhou period of the bronze foundry, research scope is the territory of the People’s Republic of China, including Hong Kong and Macau, without Xizang Hainan and Taiwan.In this paper in order to better elaborate the characteristics of the bronze culture of every bronze foundry. Here will adopt the partition system partition method mentioned by Mr. Li Boqian in the stage of the development of C hinese bronze culture. Bronze culture area of the central plains is divided into the central plains of Q ilu culture area, Yan culture area, Zhouzhengjinwei culture area, the Q in culture area, Chu culture area and Wuyue culture area; the non-central plains bronze culture area is divided into the Bashu culture area, Southwest culture area, Northern bronze culture area, Ganqing bronze culture area, as well as bronze culture area in Xinjiang.This paper will be divided into fourteen chapters. Among them, the first chapter is the introduction, chapter 14 is summarized; chapter 2 to chapter 13 respectively discusses the relevant characteristics of the central plain bronze culture area and the non-central plains culture area, including the natural geography and history of the culture area, the characteristics of the bronze culture in the culture area, The excavation of the site of cast copper in the cultural area and the summary of The characteristic of the casting copper sites.The focus of this article is to analyze whether the culture area has the ability to independently casting bronze ware. In addition, on the question of how to determine whether a site is cast copper site, this paper did a simplified processing. Here the evidence make me determined the site is a cast copper is divided into direct and indirect evidence evidences. Have bronze casting molds unearthed is direct evidence, and the other related relics unearthed are indirect evidence, such as copper slag and crucibles. Have direct evidence unearthed can specify the site is cast copper sites, but unearthed circumstantial evidence only suggests that this site may be cast copper sites.In this paper, by means of narrative and related discussion on the characteristics of the bronze culture of the bronze culture area of Eastern Zhou Dynasty and excavations the C ultural District cast copper site,we deem that, in each area of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty bronze culture should have its relative independence of bronze casting workshop.
