Research Of Bronze Wares Unearthed From Anhui Pronvince

Anhui is devided into three natural regions by the Yangtse River and the Huai River.Areas in the north of the Huai River are a part of the North China Plain and the landscape is mostly flat.Between the Yangtse River and the Huai River is the hilly region,the bank area of the yangtze river and the the surrounding area of Chaohu are relatively flat.They are belong to the part of the middle-lower Yangtze plains.The south of the Yangtze River links the Central Plain.The area is across the Yangtze river and the Huai River.Anhui Province cultural relic Institute of archaeology cleaned up the bronze and repaired it which were excavated in Qianshan and Feidong and other areas.To cooperate them and establish the cultural relic files,this paper did analytical tests to the gathered ancient bronze samples by XRF?XRD?ICP-AES.On these basis,we combine previous research results and relevant literature to conduct primary discussion,such as alloy technology?connecting technique and casting origin.The main study results are as follows:(1)The bronze which were excavated from Chenpo M10 Chu Tomb should be casted in locality rather than from the northern Yellow River basin or the middle and lower reaches of yangtze river.2)These bronze are mainly consist of 10%Sn?25%Cu-Sn binary alloys and Cu-Sn-Pb ternary alloys whose lead content are relatively dispersed.The utensils are mainly shaped by casting and cold working after casting.Different uses implements have different alloy composition.At the same time,the acients made decent performance weapons by combining processing technology and alloy batch.The processing technology include heat treatment?hot working.These phenomenon all indicate that craftsman had deeper understanding about the copper alloy's property which affected by Sn?Pb and the improvement of the copper alloy's property.The process technology is rather exquisite and skilled.3)It conducted that in the later period of Warring States,the craftsman in Xiangfan district already could solve the connecting issue in different component by plastic insert casting?integral casting?welding and other methods.And they already could make many bronze which are peculiar shaped?exquisite craft and fabulous.
