Research On The Artistic Derivative Of Tulou Culture In Fujian Province

Fujian Tulou, refers to a type of large and multi-storey residential architecture in the west and south of Fujian Province. With load-bearing rammed earth walls and wooden beams, they were built for defense purposes prominently and could accommodate a large group of people.With the boost of popularity and attention in Fujian Tulou, a series of products has derived from its culture in the field of art. This paper, based on this range of art derivatives, will collect, organize, classify and analysis them in Tulou’s culture, by the means of field study, document analysis, comparative research and statistics and other research methods. Through the further study of relationship between Tulou’s culture and its arts derivatives, the paper will discuss how to develop Chinese traditional culture and draw the conclusion of combining the Chinese traditional culture and contemporary art, which is conducive to promote national culture, facilitate the development of the Chinese national culture and cultural industries, thus further enhancing China’s soft cultural power.The paper consists of five chapters, with introduction and four chapters from main body. The introduction is the first chapter, which will unfold five aspects of the paper, namely the background, status, significances, methods and contents of the research. The second chapter gives a brief overview of the general situation in Fujian Tulou, mainly from its historical development and its successful application for the list of world heritage. Additionally, it will elaborate network’s influence on the traditional culture of Fujian Tulou through the perspective of the new media, like "Bing Picture"(a graphic software in China) and Tecent QQ; In the third chapter, it will talk about the current situation of musical derivatives of Fujian Tulou culture, based on the analysis of the creation background, performance and social influence of the Hakkas trilogy----the most representative musical derivatives of Fujian Tulou culture, namely, that symphonic tone poem Earthen echo, large original musical Earthen charm and opera Tulou.The fourth chapter emphasizes a representative branch----the study of animated films, in the arts derivatives of Tulou culture. With its representative works big fish, Begonia as the research object, the paper will analyze cultural factors and compare the relations exhibited by the animated movies and explore the whole conception of the animated film, financial operations, pre-publicity, marketing and other aspects.The fifth chapter sorts up the relations between Tulou’s culture and its art derivatives from the perspective of art managers. Moreover, it will look forward to the prospects of win-win cycle development constructed by both. And through the study of their relations, it will trigger the reflection of the further development of Chinese traditional culture. The integration of Chinese traditional culture and contemporary art can bring about "parent "products with promotional function and accelerate the joint development of material culture and non-material culture. On the other hand, it is of practical significance to promote local economic development and environmental protection as well.
