Research Of Intermediate Chinese Reading Textbooks

This paper takes the intermediate Chinese reading textbooks as main research object, and selects one innovative book called Chinese wide-angle-- intermediate Chinese reading as an example. The intermediate TCSL reading course content is researched by using the method of literature research and statistical analysis in this paper, the specific objects of this research includes material in the text, vocabulary and practice. At last, under the guidance of evaluating materials principle, this paper evaluates the material objectively and comprehensively, proposes items which writer should pay attention to during the compilation of intermediate Chinese course books.This paper consists of introduction, body and conclusion three parts, altogether five chapters.The first chapter is introduction. This chapter mainly introduces the significance of this study, research review, research object and research methods, describes the present situation of Chinese reading teaching and reading teaching. This chapter is the theoretical basis for the thesis.The second chapter is Chinese wide-angle text study. This chapter analyzes textbooks from three aspects including text length, theme and genre, puts forward relevant suggestions at the end of this chapter.The third chapter is Chinese wide-angle vocabulary study. It explores the quantity, grade and repetition rate of the vocabulary, points out the advantages and disadvantages of the new words used in this book. Some suggestions related to vocabulary selection are proposed based on the above research.The fourth chapter is "Chinese wide-angle" practice study. This chapter discusses the reading practice from the perspective of type, quantity and content of the exercises appears in the book. An objective evaluation is made at the end of this chapter.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. This part summarizes the conclusions of this paper, and then makes an overall evaluation of the preparation of this type of teaching material, points out the shortcomings of this study and prospects the future work finally.
