This thesis is presented in the form of practice report which is based on the real listening interpretation of the staff interviews of Addax, an African oil company. Combined with the characteristics of interpretation and relevant interpretation theory and principle, the author adopts a rational analysis of the interpreting process and draws a conclusion of problems occurring in the process and presents a resolution as well. The first two parts of this report respectively include the description of the interpreting task and its practice process. Firstly, the author generally introduces the features of this task through four aspects, namely timeliness, independence, blindness and colloquial style. Then, the relevant requirements of this task are presented briefly, including the time limits, delivery format and quality control. At last, the author analyses the whole task on three steps, which are pre-interpretation, during-interpretation and post-interpretation.The third part of this report combines this interpretation practice with the Interpretive Theory, proposed by Professor Danica Seleskovitch and professor Marianne Lederer, and also with the principle of linear interpretation. In the last part, the author lists all the difficulties with their resolutions that occur during the practice and then makes a certain of conclusions of interpretation in the future.
