| Since the reform and opening up,China has achieved unprecedented development in all aspects and has become increasingly close to the world. This has provided the impetus and stage for the development of the translation industry. In recent years, many world’s major forums have rushed to invite Chinese guests to give speeches, and many international forums have emerged in China. In the forums, interpreters are acting as a bridge between speakers and the audience. And simultaneous interpretation(SI)has been adopted by more and more forums because of its high efficiency and coherence. The quality of simultaneous interpretation is crucial to "speaking Chinese stories well",spreading Chinese culture, and promoting China-foreign exchanges. The correctness of the SI strategy directly affects the quality of the SI.This article comes from the author’s simulated SI of"Ma Yun’s speech at the 2017 Yunqi Conference”.Taking this simulation practice as an example, guided by the interpretive theory, the author tries to explore SI strategies. The interpretive theory believes that there are three steps in translation:comprehension, deverbalization, reproduction.Guided by the interpretive theory, the author simulates SI without script.Through an in-depth understanding of the inner meaning of the spokesperson.the author sorts out the inner logic and finally outputs the target language information that conforms to the listener’s habits. The first part of the report is a description of the mission background and text features. The second part is the elaboration of the whole interpretation process, including the preparation of the interpretation and the formal interpretation process. The third part is case analysis.Guided by the interpretive theory.through segmentation, omission, generalization and amplification, the author can realize comprehension, deverbalization and reproduction. The thesis uses the author’s simultaneous translation to give a targeted example.aiming to better explore the problems and solutions of Chinese-English SI and promote the healthy and orderly development of simultaneous interpretation. |
