This paper examines the relationships between Wang Guowei and Peking University, the small royal court of Qing dynasty, and Tsinghua University based on his life after returning to China in 1916.The first chapter focuses on examining how PKU scholars valued Wang Guowei before he became the corresponding advisor in PKU, Wang Guowei’s impact on PKU students such as Gu Jiegang, and how Wang’s "Collected Works of Jing-An" and "Human Words" regained attention during that time; The second chapter focuses on thoughts of adherents to Qing dynasty who work for small royal court, exemplifying by Wang Guowei, and these adherents’ culture view embedded within their scholastic works; Starting with Wang’s relationship with XueHeng magazine around the time when he joined Tsinghua University, the third chapter is about Wang’s academic interaction with Chen Yinque, and during that time how people viewed Wang’s death differently after he committed suicide. The whole paper studies Wang’s academic life and cultural viewpoints in order to restore his role as an opposer during the New Culture Movement, also it points out Wang’s impact on Hu Shi and Gu Jiegang’s academic works, which enriches the study of New Culture Movement.
